About Wren
Buccleuch Artemis, call name Wren, is one of 5 puppies from the Lykos x Atlas litter (Hawthorne Lynx x Blaiddmon Drogo) here at Buccleuch Tamaskan. She and her siblings were born 12/20/2019. She is a very special girl, being the keeper from our first litter. She will carry on the X chromosome from both Kos and Atlas. This is a very important step for the genetic diversity here in the USA, since Atlas is located in the UK and there are no other breeding dogs to carry on his genes at this time.
Wren is a very sweet, easy going pup but is also a rough and tough girl. She doesn't back down to the other Tamaskans and loves getting right in the middle of their wrestling matches. She is the perfect mix of her mom and dad. She shows no fear of new environments, strangers, other dogs or animals. She gets along well with our cats. Her recall is a work in progress; she always hears, but listens about 75 % of the time. Like her mom, her prey drive is rather high. Wren is a very independent girl but also thrives off of the love and attention of her people.
Wren currently weighs about 67 pounds and is 25.5in at the shoulder. Wren is "Wolf Grey" genotypically and "Red Grey" phenotypically.
